The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on Monday, released the results of the just concluded May/June 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

About 1,549,740 candidates registered for the examination from 19,129 recognized secondary schools in Nigeria in 2020.

All Candidates results are available on the WAEC’s Results site –

For those who either have no Internet access or error in network connectioon, can check their results through Short Message Service (SMS).

How to check your result via SMS:

Step 1: Go to your message and use the short code format below: Type WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear and send it to 32327.

For example – WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2013. Ensure  that there you have upto NGN30 in your account and do not space or split in the message, else you’ll get error.

Step 2: Click sent/enter and wait for your result to be delivered to your phone via SMS.

How to Check your WAEC Result Free on the internet

Step 1: You need to have an Internet enabled phone and data or airtime to get started!

Step 2: Open your internet browser, for example: google chrome, Firefox or operamini. Type in this website address – www.     and click Goto or enter.

Step 2:

  • Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
    (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4040456789)
  • Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2020
  • Select the Type of Examination
  • Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number (Check your card)
  • Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
  • Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
